Nike SB x Crenshaw Skate Club Dunk Low Pro

A homage to inner-city skaters, LA community culture and the nature of inclusivity. Designed in collaboration with Tobey McIntosh, the Nike SB x Crenshaw Skate Club Dunk Low Pro arrives as the community project’s first collaboration; a unique and representative release ultimately inspired by one of the communities most favoured hangouts, Crenshaw Square.

With his first pair of skate shoes being his mum’s ‘06 Dunk Highs, McIntosh began skating in and around South Central Los Angeles at the age of 14. Launching Crenshaw Skate Club in 2017, originally as a club between friends, the brand has grown from having tees stocked in the likes of Lotties Skate Shop and Supreme to being supported by collaborations with the likes of Jordan Brand, streetwear brand Carrots and NBA team The Clippers. Led by a simple desire to give skaters of colour a brand that they could feel represented them, CSC remains committed to giving back to the historically black neighbourhood that ultimately shaped the brand’s foundations. Inspiration for artwork, graphics and prints stem from the brand’s South Central hub, popular skate spots including the Jim Gilliam park and from the well-known Crenshaw Square plaza, a favoured post-skate and post-church hangout spot of founder, McIntosh.

 Taking direct inspiration from the oxidised metals wrapping the well-known Crenshaw Square sign, this Nike SB Dunk arrives in a Sail, Light Blue & Cedar colourway with neutral suede and textured leather uppers. Featuring a contrast stitch cupsole, a perforated toe box, a turn-and-stitch toe cap and blue leather Swooshes, this Dunk also features a translucent outsole styled with LA palm tree references, printed cloud details and CSC artwork inspired by local ABC daycare blocks. Three sets of laces provide extra customisation, with two interchangeable insoles designed with custom printwork and hidden 90008 zip code references. Each OG padded tongue features embroidered Nike SB x Crenshaw Skate Club labels, with woven ‘We Are The Ones We’ve Been Waiting For’ split quote detailing designed as a direct reference to Barack Obama. Finished with embroidered Nike SB x CSC collar logos and with woven Crenshaw Square signs displayed across each heel.

The draw opens on Tuesday 8th August 2023 at 17:00PM (BST) and closes on Wednesday 9th August 2023 at 10.00AM (BST). You can enter the draw here.

Limited to one pair per person. Available to UK residents only.

Winners will be chosen on Wednesday 9th August 2023 at 15:30PM (BST) and we will aim to confirm both successful and unsuccessful entries within three hours. Winning pairs will start shipping Thursday 10th August 2023.

For each release we will invite those interested to enter a draw to purchase prior to the products actual designated time of release. Card payment will be required to register for each draw and your payment will be authorised but the funds not taken by us unless your name is successfully drawn at the designated time and date of the actual release.

If you are unsuccessful in the draw the pre-authorisation will be voided and your funds released, it may take up to five working days before you see your funds available in your account again.
